THE REPORT OF START UP WORKSHOP PMRI Dec 22^nd -24^th.

We have finished the workshop December 22^nd -24^th 2008 focus on grade 2 and Peer teaching. The workshop report as below:

Day 1, Dec 22^nd .

The first day at Dec 22^nd , we started the workshop for grade 2 by presenting three sessions: place value, student thinking about multiplication, and introducing multiplication.

In session place value, the key teacher from PMRI started the class by telling story about Abu Nawas’ house. Then, the participants are asked to put some coin to the door of Abu Nawas’ house: hundreds coin, tens coin, and units coin, as the picture below

Report Workshop1

THE REPORT OF START UP WORKSHOP PMRI Dec 15^th-17^th 2008

We have finished the workshop December 15^th -17^th 2008 focus on grade 1.

There are 50 participants joined at the workshop. The schedule of the workshop is in attach file. The workshop report as below:

Day 1, Dec 15^th.

The first day at Dec 15^th, the staff of Education department of Aceh province came to opening ceremony of workshop and he asked the teacher to follow the workshop seriously. It is very good for teacher, because the teacher obey Education Department statement. Therefore, the teachers always attend the workshop in 3 days. So, in the future if KSU come to Aceh in Feb 2009, KSU should coordinate with Education Department.

One of the principal said that the learning by implementing PMRI so interesting for children and she gave applause for the workshop on that day. The participants are fascinated to bead (manik-manik) because it has many uses not only for measurement of length but also for number relation, counting, jump number, pattern, and number line.

Tujuan Quality Boost:

1. Meningkatkan capacity building Dosen dan guru (Key Teacher) dalam melaksanakan dan mensosialisasikan PMRI
